NEL - Rules

There is a recurring scene that comes to my mind every time I listen to this.

I get the feeling that their sonic palette abducts you like the beam of an alien ship and puts you in some sort of pleasant intoxication. And then you find yourself inside that ship, lying on a surface. Unable to move, your senses a little distorted but attentive at the same time. Around you, pulsing lights emitting a pulsing warmth, undetermined textures, a peculiar buzz of energy,  weird noises, echoes of past voices, and two hazy creatures, whose shape and features you cannot fully appreciate, their backs turned to you, doing things that you don't understand. You quickly realize that you are part of some kind of procedure, that you are going to be used as an instrument or as a raw material for some greater unknown purpose. And for some reason, you have no intention of escaping. No intention at all. Maybe that same power that keeps you immobile and drowsy is somehow messing with your judgment. Maybe not. But you just want to surrender yourself to that pulsing warmth, to see what comes next. You just feel the urge to satisfy that curiosity. It becomes irresistible. You need to know more, to melt into this entity. Into NEL’s music.

PS: As you may know, the income that artists receive for streams from the main platforms is ridiculous. So please consider contributing to your favorite artists using their Bandcamp or any other meaningful way available.
