Marthe Wang - No sier eg adjø

I know some people are not completely comfortable listening to music in a language they aren’t familiar with. And I know that lyrics are an important layer to fully dive into an artist’s universe.

But Marthe Wang’s music not only breaks any language barrier, it turns Norwegian into the sweetest language that ever existed

Her voice is like the first sunlight finally breaking through the clouds after a long and cold winter. Slowly melting the snow, and bringing color and life back to the fields once covered in white.

Also, Markus Lillehaug Johnsen put so much care into the production and the melody motives are so exquisite that you get really conveyed by her stories, disregarding your Norwegian skills.

I chose “No sier eg adjø” for the title, but “Hold meg”, “Det gjelder deg” and “Til deg” have also been on repeat all summer to the point that she's the artist I’ve listened to the most these last months.

Anyway, no matter the season, nor the time, get your soul sunbathed by Marthe’s delight

PS: As you may know the income that artists receive for streams from the main platforms is ridiculous, so please consider contributing to your favorite artists using their Bandcamp or any other meaningful way available.
