Nine Sparks Riots & Avatar Horns - This Too Shall Pass
Amazing horn-driven song. Its energy will get you out of the sofa and get your batteries instantly charged for at least a couple of days.
I discovered Nine Sparks Riots in early 2021 after a collaboration with Swatkins, quickly started to pull the thread and this song hit me like a brick in the head.
On this one Filip Olandersson (trumpet) and Peter Zimny (sax) close the circle.
The intro puts you in a mystery veil and when the full band comes in I was simply jaw dropped.
It’s like getting run over by an army of groovy and jazzy horns. Impeccable performance and excellent musicianship.
It’s no surprise he’s already worked with not just Swatkins and Philip Lassiter, but also Allen Stone, Mark Lettieri, Braxton Cook, Genevieve Artadi,... that should be enough presentation.
